OUR CLASSES
We offer a wide range of classes for our patients to help in the healing process. These classes are designed for learning self help techniques, home exercises, and independent progression following release from former physical therapists. The definition of Yoga is union or ‘Yoke’—It is the union of the mind and the body. Our classes are designed for beginners as well as advanced practitioners. We currently offer classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please choose from the classes below to select the best time for you. Mondays from 1:00-2:15 p.m.
Location: Market Street PILATES
Pilates incorporates Eastern and Western exercise philosophies. The focus is on developing core stability, and enhancing muscular strength while promoting flexibility. Our Pilates instructors are licensed physical therapists or have extensive rehab-based Pilates training. Exercises are taught on highly specialized equipment including: The Reformer, Cadillac, Barrel, Chair, in addition to mat techniques. We offer 30 to 60 minute private or semi-private sessions plus group Pilates mat classes. please call us at 415-788-2100 to schedule a private class. Our group Pilates mat classes are coming soon. Location: Market Street AQUATIC THERAPY
Our licensed physical therapists guide patients through an aquatic strengthening and endurance program with assistance of weights, buoyancy cuffs, resistive paddles, and other equipment. Red Hawk physical therapists may combine the benefits of aquatic therapy with the land-based techniques in our private offices located within the Berkeley YMCA and the Embarcadero YMCA.. Wednesdays from 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Location: Berkeley YMCA STRETCHING FOR ATHLETES
Stretching properly is an integral part of preparing your body to compete in sports. Increasing muscle and joint flexibility, injury prevention and sport-specific stretching routines are some of the specific areas this class will cover. Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Alissa is offering this intimate class to help you de-stress from your day and get centered back in your body. With an emphasis on low intensity stretches for long durations, breathwork, and lots of props to support any body type, this class is great for all levels of experience in Yoga. Every Wednesday except the last Wednesday
