Harvey has been practicing the art of physical therapy for over 28 years. After graduating from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Vermont, he moved to California and practiced for six years in Los Angeles, never quite feeling home in Southern California, he moved to San Francisco in 1987 and directed a sports medicine center for six years. In 1994, Harvey began his own private practice and today employs five other therapists and PTAs. He operates four separate out-patient clinics under the name Red Hawk Physical Therapy, Inc.
The clinics offer the highest quality physical therapy care, catering to everyone from seasoned athletes to clients with varied orthopedic problems, post operative and mechanical joint problems. Harvey and his staff believe that through a thorough evaluation and diagnosis, followed by manual therapy, patient education and exercise instruction, people are able to return to their highest level of function. Every client is evaluated on an individual basis and a personalized treatment program and exercise regime is prescribed.
Harvey continues to enjoy his work and feels at this point he has an extensive repertoire of therapeutic and manual techniques to offer a varied range of clientele. Harvey lectures for many local health clubs, sporting events and sports groups, physical therapists and health care workers around the Bay Area. When not at work, he enjoys his daily Yoga practice, road biking, weight lifting, hiking, dogs, travel, his Sonoma County Farm, and his 3-year-old son, Zacariah.
