Magdalina received her Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2000. After receiving her degree she returned home to New York. Her initial work experience included a variety of clinical settings, such as hospital; outpatient (orthopedic, neurological, and homeopathic), and homecare. In 2004 she decided to leave New York to begin working as a traveling physical therapist, which allowed her the opportunity to further diversify her experience. After exploring the Pacific Northwest and returning to the east coast, she found herself in San Francisco.

In 2004 she decided to leave New York to begin working as a traveling physical therapist, which allowed her the opportunity to further diversify her experience. After exploring the Pacific Northwest and returning to the east coast, she found herself in San Francisco. Here she discovered the ideal combination of city and job when she interviewed with Red Hawk Physical Therapy. While working at Red Hawk she has been enjoying helping patients reach their treatment goals by using a holistic approach, as well as detail oriented manual techniques, and custom tailored exercise routine prescription. She is also enrolled in an acupressure program at The Acupressure Institute in Berkeley in order to expand her understanding of energy work.
Magdalina’s initial interest in the human body, exercise, and biomechanics was sparked when she worked as a martial arts instructor during her undergraduate studies. She studied and taught the art of Kempo, in which she holds the rank of second-degree black belt. She has continued martial arts practice and currently holds the rank of purple belt in brazilian jiu jitsu. She also has Chi Kung and Tai Chi experience. In addition to martial arts, Magdalina has been a yoga practitioner since 2001, and enjoys outdoor activities such as snowboarding, riding her bike, and hiking.
Magdalina was born in the Ukraine and came to the US in her early teens. Her native language is Hungarian, she also speaks Russian, some basic Spanish and Hebrew.
