Physical therapy is a natural evolution of my learning over my lifetime, combining art with science. My background involves movement (dance) and medicine. My training in physical therapy began in 1988 at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I began to learn the basic skills of hands on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. To help someone thru any pain or dysfunction, I believe the therapist must know what optimal movement looks and feels like in every individual component (joint, muscle, fascia) and how the nervous system functions to use these articulations to pattern movements.

Physical therapy is a natural evolution of my learning over my lifetime, combining art with science. My background involves movement (dance) and medicine. My training in physical therapy began in 1988 at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I began to learn the basic skills of hands on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise and to appreciate the adaptations of the human body over a lifetime. To help someone through any pain or dysfunction I believe the therapist must know what optimal movement looks and feels like in every individual component (joint, muscle, fascia) and how the nervous system functions to use these articulations to pattern movements. Every client is unique. As a therapist as well as certified pilates instructor, I can help people notice their adaptations and hopefully restore ease of motion in the articulations as well as relearning more efficient movement patterns.
